CFA Exam Do’s and Don’ts to Keep in mind

 

You’ve worked hard, spent hundreds of hours preparing for the #CFAExam . Now, here are few reminders to keep in mind.

1- Bring your own Approved Writing Instruments

  • For Level I, Level II, and the item-set portion of Level III a No. 2 or HB pencils are ONLY allowed. Marks made by a writing instrument other than a No. 2 or HB may not be read by the scanning equipment.
  • For the essay portion of the Level III exam, it is strongly recommended that you use a No. 2 or HB pencil or a blue or black ink pen.

 

2- Bring only Authorized Financial Calculators 

  • Texas Instruments BA II Plus (including BA II Plus Professional)
  • Hewlett Packard 12C (including the HP 12C Platinum, 12C Platinum 25th anniversary edition, 12C 30th anniversary edition, and HP 12C Prestige)

3-Don’t forget to print your Exam Admission Ticket

Make sure that all your details match exactly your passport ( First/Last name, 4 last digits of your passport)

4- DON’T open your exam book until instructed to do

You must not open, read, or work on the exam before being instructed to do so by testing personnel.

4- Put your pencils down the instant you hear STOP WRITING NOW

You must not write or erase  after being instructed to stop writing.

5-Don’t use scratch papers

You must not use any scratch paper, your are only permitted to do scratch work only in the exam book.

6- Don’t write on your exam Admission Ticket

You are not allowed to write anything on your exam admission ticket ( it should remain clean as it is, YOU MUST NOT USE IT AS A SCRATCH PAPER)

7- Foods and Drinks are not allowed in the testing area

8- Electronics of all kinds are not permitted in the testing area (including Mobile Phones, cameras, headsets, computers, tablets, wearable technology

It is better to leave all electronics at home or in your car before heading to the testing area

Last but not least Focus only on your exam book, don’t look at your friends exam not even for a second, even if a glance is unintentionally looked, it might appear as if you are trying to cheat.
