As you prepare for the CFA® exam, it’s important to measure all of your preparation against exam day, ensuring you stay mindful of the time you have to study and the need to comprehensively prepare. CFA Institute has recently made a change to the traditional CFA exam schedule. You can find details about the change below and learn how the change could affect your preparation.

When is CFA Exam Day for the June 2018 CFA Exam?

CFA Institute announced that all three levels of the June 2018 CFA exam will be offered on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Ultimately, this change will be enacted at all testing centers globally. Traditionally, the June CFA exam was offered on the first Saturday in June, three weeks earlier than the new testing date. Here are a few key dates you need to be aware of:

  • Registration for the June 2018 exam opened on July 27, 2017.
  • The deadline for early registration fees to be paid is September 20, 2017.
  • The standard registration fee deadline is February 14, 2018.
  • The final (late) registration fee deadline is March 14, 2018.

How Will The CFA Exam Date Change Affect Me?

There is a very tangible upside to this change for candidates. First of all, Schweser study materials for the June 2018 CFA exam released on the same schedule as last year. Consequently, this means students have three more weeks to prepare for exam day, allowing additional time for study activities such as taking practice exams and attending a review workshop. Finally, use this extra time wisely and ensure you are fully prepared for success when you take the exam on June 23, 2018.
